We meet at 3:30 on Sunday afternoons at Springvale Methodist Church, Penistone
We meet at 3:30 every Sunday afternoon
We try to start promptly at 3:30 with a time of worship. This is built around singing – we use some traditional hymns and a variety of modern songs. Between songs, we invite people to share testimony of how God has been involved in their lives. We also have bible readings which may be chosen in advance or read by members of the congregation.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is present in us as Christians, and in our services. And especially we believe that Jesus is alive! That is cause for great celebration and thanksgiving.
We do not fix the length of our services at an hour, but they usually last between an hour and an hour and 15 minutes, after which we have time to enjoy each other’s company.
You are very welcome to join us for freshly-made coffee or tea and fellowship after the service. Did I mention the biscuits?
There are children’s groups during the service with activities and teaching – see the “Children’s work” page
On the first and third Sundays of the month, we usually break bread together
